Does the upper ball joint on a d44 seat far enough to get the snap ring on. The one I pulled out didn't have one on it, and I can't press the new one in far enough to get one on. I figure it doesn't go on, but I thought I'd check with the almighty POR board.

been a while, but at least on my waggie 44, I believe both ball joints sat far enough to get the snap rings on.

No just the bottom one gets a snapring on all 7 d44s Ive taken apart and put together.

Yep, never seen a snap ring on the top one.
