Hey, I found out that the Isuzu 4L30E automatic is a modified Tracker 3-speed auto. So, that means (maybe) you can bolt the Isuzu bellhousing to a Tracker transmission and then just bolt it all to a GM 60* V6. Any thoughts on this?

Hmmm.......intervestinguh:D
I thought of something similar before when I was gonna go with a RX7 rotary engine. I heard that maybe the Mazda 4wd PU auto trannies would bolt up to the RX7 motor. Never found out for sure though. Sorry I'm no help for you though

Why use a 4L30/TH180 when a 4L60/700R4 bolts to a GM 60 deg V-6?

Don't be afraid, embrace your inner sawzall.

I suppose it might be an interesting way to get a real engine under the hood of a TracKick but still...

Or a 60-deg V-6 to a Sammie trans via the standard 1.6 adapter...

that would be a more desireable set up but the 3L30/TH180 fits without a body lift or cutting the tunnel and if used with the Kicker 3 (or even the 2), the sami case stays in the stock location so you dont have to extend the wheelbase or use a short drive shaft. Plus you get a V6 and a dual T-case with many gearing options all in one compact package. It seems like it would be pretty good combo using junkyard parts if someone didnt want to squeeze a bigger GM transmission in their rig.

it could only work with the auto, you would need the Isuzu 4L30 bellhousing.

naaaa, I put in Cruiser axles, a coil suspension and 35's without her noticing!;)
I may have to look into this more, although I am not ready (or willing) to swap engines again, but maybe my next rig...
