I was just cruising the local want-add papaer and saw one for sale,

"240v, Wire feed with gas tank and regulator, extra wire. Used very little excelent conditions still have original box and manuals. $900.00 firm."

Now I haven't welded in many years and it was all just regualr arc stick welding. I enjoyed it so have been thinking I can save myself money in the long run buy getting my own and teaching myself. I have read alot of good things about the Lincoln welders on the board and was wondering if this was a good deal asuming it is as good as he says it is. I just need a push to justify it.

Happy T-Day

I got the sp175 plus, bought it new with tri-mix tank, regulator, argon tank, aluminum kit, larger drive wheels and liner (for .045 aluminum wire), 10 pound of flux core 4 spools of 2 pound aluminum wire (.030-.045). Everything and tax run me around $1100, I think the welder and regulator were about 700 and the trimix $80 so price new cuz I think the plus is the next model up from the T, it seems quite pricy to me, they are great welders though I would recommend em

Not a good deal. You could buy a new Miller/Lincoln 175 with a cart and 120 Ft cylinder for the same price or less.
