Can anyone tell me if a single res master cylinder, from a 4/70 fj40 will move enough fluid to make front and rear discs work? If not can anyone reccommend one that will. Thanks.

Find a Master/Slave unit from a newer Cruiser - my '74 had one that worked fine for my 4 wheel disc conversion.

BTW - hey newbie :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

76+ fj40 master

FJ4ZROX are you in the Nor-cal Marauders club up that way? If so who do I see about joining up since my current club has no TLCA affiliation.

Bluz - No, I am not a member of the Marauders. They are a closed club. Since there are not many Cruisers that wheel up here, I ended up joining Pacific Mtn Cruisers (mainly based around Napa/Sonoma with members all over Nor Cal). If I could find enough interest, I would consider starting up a local TLCA Chapter (I know the procedure since I am the WIR for TLCA).

I tried a couple runs with local clubs that a "all truck types", but there was too much "liquid courage" causing nasty carnage and unsafe trail conditions for me. A few beers on the trail is ok, and getting sloshed in camp is great, but keep the trail safe. If not - others will end up getting hurt, and if the carnage is caused by doing "stupid shit" from being drunk - your on your own to fix your truck. If you were just "gettin' it", I'll be the first one to stop and help repair the trail damage.

I used the factory master from my 72 (dual reservoir) and it works great with my 4 wheel discs. 1/2 ton ford front discs, ford car rear discs. No pumping and on the first hit it'll lock up my 38's if I want. And...

I hear ya FJ4ZROX, I don't think the TLCA chapter idea would go over with our club but??? I think they feel it will alienate some of the current members driving heeps & such. Good bunch of people just very set in their ways if you know what I mean. I went to the PMC swap this summer and they seem like they really got their sheeeeet together. Maybe I'll join up with them too.
