Newer 318 engine circa 2003...15,000 miles.
Wet (high dewpoint) air, rain etc...no start...engine turns over, no check engine lights, no codes...
Had it towed to dealer, by the time they got to it it fired right up.

Happened again tonight...put the pedal to the floor just for shits and giggles (all my other rigs are carbed) and it fired...let off the gas it died...wouldnt idle...drove it a couple of miles using neutral (autp) and brake and once it warmed up it would ideel fine...
Its still under warranty and the stealer won;t do crap...all they can do is "wiggle" tests, and try to wet it down.

Anyone seen this and know a solution?
I don't want to deal with this all the time...its freaking nearly brand new.

THanks

MJ:rolleyes:

dont know what to tell you other than my truck started to do that in the mornings when I start it up.
My yota is the same way, so who knows.

Are all the terminals tight on the wires/connectors and PCM? Maybe some dielectric grease on the terminals will help.

Dont know what else to tell ya.

Garrett

BTW: whats it in? I thought the ram got the 4.7 in 03, and the durango/dakota got it in 00ish.

Its a 3/4 ton ram van not a truck.
Same way they've made the P'sOS for years now...
Thankfully its from the last run of them.
Not mine but I have to rely on it daily for work...
Its at ANOTHER dealer now...
I told them I don't want it back until they fix the problem since its under warranty.
I can hear them laughing now.

Did it again to me Tues AM...not putting up with this schit all winter.

Check your throttle position sensor, I had one do that to me and that was what it was.
