I'm looking for a master cylinder for a 59 CJ5 that will work with a disc brake conversion. I would imagine that they are available, but I'm having a hard time locating anything. Anyone have any ideas??
Thanks

You will need to go to swing pedels if you haven't already. The orginal master cylinder doesn't have the volume to run discs plus you will need a metering block to control volume to the discs and drums.

Thanks for the info guys. I'd convert to swinging pedals, but I put the battery right where the master would need to be and i'd hate to have to relocate all my wiring and the battery (I put a 3800 buick V-6, 700R4 and 207 where the stock pos 4 cylinder was). Any more info anyone would have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Theres a couple companies that make 4 wheel disc MC's for old street rods. most of them had the MC located under the floorboards like jeeps did. I just cant for the life of me remember the name.

Like mike said..

I would pick up a hot rod book and go from there, there are lots of custom companys that make such a beast.. you could always try wilwood

Thanks you guys for all your help. I also found one on the internet that mounts up the same but has a larger piston. I think i'm going to start with that, remove the factory prop valve, run full pressure to the front brakes, and put an adjustable prop valve in for the rears. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Thanks again
