ok....at my school every senior has to do a project on a topic they choose. With this topic they have to find a consultant in the field of your topic, do 15 hours of experience ,and a service project of somekind. The 15 hours of service can be done as job shadowing. I am also required to interview this person 2-3 times.
I chose my topic to be four wheeling.
Now what I want to do is find some kind of 4x4/truck shop in the greater bay area to do my experience hours in. I have already tried the local shops like 4 wheel parts and some truck accesories place and they said no.
Now what I would like to know is, if there is anybody who works in a 4x4 shop(bay area area) or someone who does enough of it out of their garage, who would be my consultant and let me job shadow them for 15 hours and interview them
Thanks for reading

Instead of trying to work a 4x shop why don't you get with one of the 4x4 clubs in your area nd see about assisting in a trail maintenace program where you actually get to do some wheelin. Take a video camera and makea short documentary as your project to show the enviro-nazis that we wheelers actually help and maintain our environment.

did you tell the guys at the 4x4 shops that you would basically work for free?
sweep the floor,
move around tires
empty oil tins
if I had a shop I get all the free lackies I could afford
