44044 are 2.5" waggy springs and are a good choice for what size tire you are going with. You will need to make a trackbar for the rear or you will fold those springs up bad.

so the 44044,s are 2.5 inches higher than stock waggy 7 leaf???? as far as the track bar, i have fabed a nice traction bar setup for my 96 ram that im going to incorporate, (with a few changes), into this jeep.....i have been junkyard hopping and have found old waggys and cherokes with 5,6,and 7 leafs which one doese the 44044 replace/or compatible??

If you are not gonna see rocks, and gonna do just sand and mud, I would get some 6" SUA springs. Call Alcan and get teh stiffest springs you can. Keep it SUA, DO NOT GO SOA because you will be too soft. I say do that, and you will be set.

The 44044's are about 1" more lift than the HD 7 leaf waggy's. There are also 7 leaf std springs. Also, the waggy springs (either stock 5 or 7 leaf or the ranchos) are off set by 2". If you run the short sides out, you can increase your wb by 4". However, you will need to trim the rear tub. You can run TJ flares to cover it though. You will probably need to flat-fender the front fenders too. Yes 38's will fit with 44044's and SOA...
As Dean said...run a track arm.

hey flatty, not to knock your setup, but if i run soa with a beefy ladder bar/traction bar. soa is choice, because of the simplicity of height gain, sua keeps eveything inline at a lower height but i have to give somewhere to get those 38,s in there....

I agree with dimitri on this one. if it is a sand and mud machine stay spring under. 6" alcan SUA springs with a 2" body and you'll clear 38's fine.
