Some friends & I were up there that weekend cutting X-mas trees. You must have been way ahead of us.

There were tons of people up there that weekend. Seemed to be some stock truck or other buried about every couple hundred feet so we didn't even get to the Skyway.

We just cut our trees & got the heck out to try to beat the crowds.

Alot of people went towards Butte Meadows instead of towards Philbrook lake. We left Paradise/Magalia at about 8:45 and didn't pass anyone going in. We heard there was a huge mess on Skyway between the Philbrook Y and Butte Meadows so we stayed clear of there. Took us 3 hours to get where we were going and only 2 and a half to get back out cause it was so packed down on the road, Lots of fun going in and only a couple of fools in stock S-10 blazers to deal with going out.

I'll be posting more pics of the carrier later this week. It was not quite done when I went on this run but it now has the end caps welded on and a trailer hitch setup and has been painted.

Hey Blucruz...Did you buy the trailer hinge set up from rockstomper or did you piece it together your self? I can't locate any 2" ID tubing in Sac...and I'm sitting on the rest of the crap until I do:(

I used the one from rockstomper. I added up the local cost of what I would of had to spend and it would cost me $32.00 for the parts unnassembled. I spent $48.00 shipped to my door from rockstomper. I called it a wash cause I figured it would cost me the $16.00 in time alone going and getting the parts and then assembling it.
