McKinstry lake and Wentworth Springs have about a 5 to 6 foot base. Less in the open areas, more in the trees, It's been windy up there. We camped shy of McKinstry friday night and decided to make a day trip to the springs saturday. It took about 3.5 hours to make it past the cabins, to the campground. Judged snow depth from the amount on top of the restrooms at the campground. We proceeded to the downed tree, and remved it. We went past there by only a little bit. I think we stopped about 300 yards from ellis creek. Awesome conditions, gnarly icebergs! I can try to post pics when they are emailed to me. We passed two TJ's on our way in. One had no tranny left (probably clutch) the other had 44' swampers and ! stock axles! The ultimate setup!

Thanks Aggro. Was that TJ on 44s tan? I saw that guy last year on Barrett and it was very surreal seeing him running a D30 and those huge monsters. And I was worried about running 35s on my D30 ;)

tan or gold. I guess it had an atlas and a klune v, but stock axles. Apparently he's not afraid of the almighty sawzall! Apparently it's all about finess.
