I recently started blowing Engine control module fuses on my 88 K5 Blazer. I have done my best and checked for loose wires or chafed wires and can't find any. This all started after I replaced my throttle position sensor and H2O temp sensor. I have since changed them back to the old ones and it is still happening. Sometimes the truck will start but as soon as I hit the gas it dies. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone else have a clu. I'm stumped??????????

Put in a new ECM, or at least one from a junkyard.

Did you readjust the TPS signal voltage after you installed either the old one or new one? Mighty important.

They need to be set to *I think* .55 volts (at least a TPI TPS needs that spec). Call your dealer or check your Chiltons manual for the proper voltage spec. Email me off list if you need more help on diagnosing/setting the TPS.

Uhhhh I'm real good with K5's till we get to the Fuel injection part.
Come over to www.coloradok5.com and ask some of the folks over there. Probably get a quicker answer. A lot of the guy's frequent here but they may not catch your problem. Probably somebody there has suffered the same issue. There are 3,000+ K5 nut heads on line on CK5
