: Michael Jackson: Guilty or not?

With all of the news now coming out, maybe it's time to re-assess the board's attitude. Well, no need for that I guess, most will say he's guilty.

Anyway, I hate MJ's music, I think he's a nut, couldn't care less about him personally. However: I don't think he's guilty. If he was, he would have been taken down years ago, with as many kids as have been through Neverland.

Furthermore, MJ knows what he's getting himself into, and the danger it entails. His childhood was so miserable, he doesn't care. He's hung up on having a child's happiness, and he has RIGHTLY put that feeling to use helping a LOT of kids.

Notwithstaning MJ's freakiness, he would STILL be persecuted with molestation suits left and right simply becuase of all the children he's in contact with. So again, I simply don't believe he's guilty. A lot of evidence is coming out now, and I simply don't believe that's his particular sickness.

I'm not discussing anymore tonight. The board is almost unusably slow right now.

What's this new evidence? I haven't heard anything new.

Can't vote yes or no. I haven't been presented with the evidence. I refuse to assume anything about his guilt until I see it first hand. I felt the same way about OJ and even Scott Peterson.

Good answer. Even so, right now it's 20 to 4, guilty winning. So people are assuming he's guilty based on no evidence, when strictly speaking that's an automatic innocent. My PBB predictions come true.

Nothing breaking new. Just the mom's behavior prior, during and after the alleged incident. The child's behavior in the same time frame. Some other crap I can't remember, basically pointing to it being a scam for money.

I agree 100%. He may be a freak, but he's not a monster. I think he seriously and completely connects with these children in his head, and enjoys their company and making them happy. He has never shown a single sign of being dangerous, just a bit wierd. He did, however, fawk up and set a bad precidence when he paid off that first kid's family.

i thought you were leaving? :flipoff2:

i dunno, i've pretty much got him prejudged as a child molester...before this incident. so i guess, yeah, when reports started coming out again about him molesting a kid i didnt really give much credit to the thought he might be innocent.

but the real truth is that i just dont give a shit. i've tried to ignore the news when its about him...same with most celeberties. i dont like his music, and the dude hasnt looked human since he looked like latoya jackson.

hes a clown in the media's circus.

No, his presumed guilt is based on media innuendo. As for the previous charges, guilty or innocent, he probably figured it would be cheaper to pay off the family than to pay the bottom feeders.

In several interviews I have seen him openly admit that he likes to sleep with children in his bed. While I cannot attest to his guilt or innocence concerning the molestation charges, a grown man has no business being in bed with people's children - inapropriate at the Very Least.

About someone's comment about him not being dangerous: after seeing him dangle his child over that balcony I would not come to the same conclusion.

Is he guilty of child molestation? I don't think anyone here is truly qualified to say for sure one way or another, but there are enough red flags that I would not be the least bit surprised if he is.

That would qualify 30-40% of your neighbors and coworkers as dangerous. I bet that many people have done something stuipd/dangerous with their loved ones without realizing it...
Rememeber the recent thread about all of the "dangerous" things we did as kids?

Hell, many people would consider us to be dangerous to loved ones when we strap them in the passenger seat of a rig and flop it! But *we* don't really see/recognize the danger in that. But I bet that if a media photo of the scared face of your wife as you're mid-roll would illicit the same response of revulsion from the general public...
