I'm sick of the plastic windows. I was thinking to make full door from my half doors and stock softtop uppers. I'd hide the new windoframe under the soft top upper. Anyone done this?

Make them out of plywood :D I saw a picture in one of the new jeep magazines with a guy that had plywood halfdoors :D Thats ghetto!!

I knew a guy who had a full hardtop (with a window in the back hatch) and hard doors made out of plywood. All painted gloss black.:eek: and the windows were plexiglass.

dont make doors out of plywood, damn....

just keep an eye out for doors on e-bay or in the paper. spend a little more and you'll be happier in the long run.

BTW there are hard upper doors made that fit in the same way your soft uppers do, the windows slide rather than roll up and down. I think tht they are pretty :rainbow: however i do see people use them

Don't get the fiberglass upper slider half door things. They don't seal any better than the standard soft doors.
