The 1.5" wheel spacers I ordered finally arrived. Based on some advice from this board I bought them from Performance Wheel and Tire. They were a week late and didn't include any lug nuts (I called to make sure they'd come with them) and are bare aluminum (not really a surprise, just FYI). Hopefully Spidertrax will start making them for the Toy axles, they are the cheapest ones out there, include lug nuts and plating.

a cheap trick down here in s-america is to un-weld the center plate, and weld it on "inside-out"

this gives you between 1-3" of extra offset... you run the rim also inside out, with the great benefit of having the "longer" lip of the rim to the outside (thus its VERY hard to pop a bead - even at 2psi).

thats an old trick of the dessert racers in the atacama dessert

they charge locally around us$15,- per rim, very nice work... i will post a view pics in a couple of days...

off course thats steel rims only
:D

There's a bloke here in nz making steel spacers. Marketing them as stud adaptors. But at a very appealing price.
Is steel going to be a biggie as far as unsprung weight goes ?

He's talking about reversing the center of the rim. A search of the board for the terms "reversed centers" will tell you all you want to know. :D

Chris, I bought mine from Sky and they were $95 and had lug nuts, for my Toy's.That's cheaper and wider than Sidertrax. I still have some Sami 1" spacers from Sidertrax that I liked also, but were $105 a pr. :)
