: KILL THEM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!...thieves
hoehand 12-14-2003, 04:52 PM I just got off the phone with my dad, and someone broke into his barn and stole almost everything. The only things they left were my brothers jeep, the horses, a lincoln pipeliner, and a plastic lawn chair with a bulet hole in it. They took tools, air compressors, jacks, tires, bits, saddles hell they even took the extension cords, a broken phone and the antibiotics for the horses. Oh and they left the $40,000 horse trailer that was behind the barn.
What the fuck is wrong with people? They can't sell the saddles or the tack. To them it isn't worth anything, but to us monetarily the tack and saddles alone were worth probably $30,000 dollars.
animator 12-14-2003, 04:55 PM I hate people.
usmcdoc14 12-14-2003, 04:59 PM your shit was "cased" as in someone knew the area, stuff in there, time someone was gone, ect. they needed a truck or multiple vehicles to do it. more than one person also.
They are most likely someone who you know or has hung around the barn a bit.
Watch the local tack places that sell used gear.
Check the pawn shops
ask around if you know anyone who might have some tools for sale(act like you are intrested in buying)
and good luck
hoehand 12-14-2003, 05:05 PM We know who did it. They have stole saddles from us before. but the part that really pisses me off, is that last time they tossed the saddles in the creek, because they couldn't sell them. They will be caught, they will go to jail, but a collection that spans almost a hundred years will end up in the creek, or discarded somewhere else. Just so they would have enough money to buy there anhydrous, lithium etc for their crank.
My dad had ~300 different bits and headstalls, quite a few were Bayers originals.
hoehand 12-14-2003, 06:25 PM Well, I was sitting here feeling injured and helpless, so I did what any red-blooded American would do. I called every low-life, thieven, schitz'n, dope-headed, no-good, worthless, waste of life, and told them that if they found the saddles and tack they could keep everything else. I also told them that I would tell them where the thieves were cooking their dope once the guilty were in jail.
ironpig70 12-14-2003, 07:49 PM you are like me and probaly well insured but money cannot replace the loss and what pisses me off the most is that when caught they don't get squat(couples years in jail) i would like to see the stocks brought back or we start cutting off fingers and when you meet a guy with 8 fingers you may want to be leary
hoehand 12-14-2003, 08:32 PM No insurance on the barn, not considered the same lot for homeowners ins.. The only things that would have been insured, they didn't take. Oh and I just had my dad go look, they didn't touch the generator, air-conditioner, spare tires, or anything on the horse trailer.
lesevenel 12-14-2003, 11:13 PM find out where their lab is, and start tossin flares...
APRILRAZZ 12-15-2003, 05:51 AM Had a saddle stolen a few years ago ($1200 Steubban(sp) fawkers took it to a tack shop and sold it to them. Tack shop sees my nameplate still on the saddle. They call me and I came and picked it up.
Found out from police that they were responsable for something like 30 barns being broken into.
Allways good to burn some sort of ID on tack just to possibly help in recovery.
The whole situation sucks.
hoehand 01-10-2004, 02:40 PM Well they found the saddles and tack. They were in a storage building in Olney, Tx about 80 miles away. The sheriff told my father that the thieves would store the stolen goods in a storage facility, and then pillage the surrounding storage buildings.
But the satisfaction comes from the way in which they were caught.
The individual who initiated the theft left his wife, and ran off with another woman. Well, his wife was arrested with her new boyfriend, and a few days later her husbands new girlfriend was arrested. Obviously this made for an interesting situation
After the cat fight was over, his wife decided that she would spill the beans in order to take a last stab at the new girlfriend and her soon to be ex-husband. So in the end everyone is in jail, almost all the stolen items have been returned, and the gentleman who instigated all of this was arrestd in Oklahoma with ~ 14 grams of dope and a stolen gun. (he is going away for a very long time)
Ah karma. How sweet it is. Lucky you.:D
usmcdoc14 01-10-2004, 02:44 PM glad to hear you got some stuff back, i think you should mail him some gay porn while he is in jail.

WOOHOO! :bounce2: :bounce: :bounce2: :bounce:
