I have a very tiny crack, approx .5 in. long, in one of my wheels, close to the outside edge. It lets air out slowly, such that my tire will go flat in about 3-4 days time if I don't refill it every day. What is the best way to fix this? Would JB weld hold alright, or should I just take it in and have it welded? I am planning on sellin these rims ASAP, so I don't know how good it would look to have JB Weld on it. If it makes any difference, it is a Boyd 15x8, I believe alloy internal (lug nut area), and steel outer? TIA

Take it to a certified welder. he should be able to fix it.

definitely weld it! JB weld will not only look bad, but I'd consider a crack a safety hazard.

You're going to sell it with the crack? Make sure you disclose it, you don't want it coming back to bite you in the ass.

I'd take it to a welder, *if* they are willing to do it, it shouldn't be too expensive.

it eouldnt be anything for a simple welder to fix, dismount the tire, prep the area, weld the crack, grind it flush, and paint if you
want.

JB weld would hold for a long time IF you clean the cracked area really well ( wire brusk inside and out, and some brake cleaner)

but it would be pretty ass suckedness to do that then sell them.
