I just got finished some much needed mods to my page. Much is still in progress too.

Future articles will include

- all about alloy axles
- the nuts and bolts of nuts and bolts
- and more.

http://members.tripod.com/BillyXJ/Billstechindex.html

Here's an idea of what's there now - should be something interesting, even for the grizzled old experts, even if it's just a cool link or 2 or a tech pdf.

*** NEW *** XJ Hybrid Axle - how to "homebrew" Dana44 knuckles, locking hubs, big brakes, and Hy Steer on your D30 - applies to jeeps other than XJ too.
Also shows problems with stock setup at higher lifts.

WICKED Steering Pages - from rod ends to Hy Steer to Tube specs and TRE part numbers...all you need to know to create your own perfect steering....and see how I did mine.

Often these places have as good or better parts, for much less than many 4x4 suppliers gouge us for, and often they have great ideas you can use on your 4x4.

So far, out of this WHOLE damn thing, your site is the ONLY one addressing oversized/dual batteries for an XJ.
Thanx for the info, could really use it.

O.K. just tried to jump onto this website, and come across a message stating " tripod..........down due to excessive bandwidth" I tried the search idea, and nothing came out of it. I was looking into how someone may have converted/rigged/modified their XJ battery tray to accept a decent battery over 650 amps. I have a commercial Interstate 1000 amp that I would REALLY like to use. I've used it in three other vehicles, and this battery is a keeper, 'till it finally dies. Yeah, yeah, I know. The optima red or yellow top is the way to go, but I can't see spending money I don't have for a battery when I already have a good one.:D

O.K. I finally got into Bills website. Still limited from "temporarily unavailable" but at least I found the DUAL battery section. I have thought of this, I had iriginally wanted to install my BigBoy 1000amp bat, but after thinking of room for a 318 or 360 V8, this dual setup may be the best way to go after all.
Thanx Bill for your hard work and effort into prividing us with very useful information normally found in the X-files, at least that's what I'd call it.:D

Awww shucks...ya'll making me blush!

No - I didn't take the pic of the F-14 blow by...but it is pretty cool! I beleieve that particular guy was grounded for that one tho!

Just remember...those twin tail plastic poser jet jockies are ALL flash though :D It looks real cool - but they're usually soooooooo full of themselves it's hard to fit in the same room!

Helo guys..now we're the shiznit...you want to hear about how great a guy is, ask a fighter puke - he'll tall ya (all day if you let him!), wanna know the best bar/club/whorehouse in (insert any city in world of choice)..ask a helo guy :rasta:

Plus - I have flown fighters...generally you can't see shit, and 900mph doesn't feel a lot different than 90 at 20 000 feet...but drop to 20 feet above the water and thump along at 300 and it feels about like 3000mph :smokin:

Thanks for the props guys,
Glad the site helps - like I said, searching for a better home.

Great Job BV!

Yeah I wanted to fly rescue, ended up in intel  But helo's are cool but being shot of a carrier in an F4 is awesome. If I could do it all over again, I'd hold out for jump jets or rescue, intel sucks.

Belly,

Funny how life goes....they made me move to the back seat after that little incident where I drove the airplane across the grass instead of down the runway....oops! Well, that and taking off in the wrong airplane that one time.

If i had all the choices you guys have down there - I think I'd pick Combat SAR...killing and rescuing all in one trip...how cool is that!

Either that or wish like hell I has the nuts for the SAS.....met
some once...TOTAL fucking heroes...unreal!

Ooops - drifted OT !
