All of the ACE hardware stores around here stock them.

Hey Pat,

How's it going?

For the ES2233L and ES2234R GM tre's (and 2027L's etc.) the size is 7/8 -18. 18 is an extra fine, uncommon thread. These are near impossible to find, especially the left hand ones.

I searched and searched without luck, and when I asked on here (and elsewhere) no one had a source. Even Scott at Rockstomper resorted (may still) to making his own jam nuts (this is where I got the ones I needed, Scott also taper reamed my pitman arm and the 2233L end for me).

I will say that some brands of tre's seemed to include them , while others didn't (except for the drag linjk ends, none of those came with jam nuts, that I found).

Good Luck,

Charly

The funny thing about this is 7/8 18 RH and LH jam nuts are stock GM parts. Available at any dealership (okay, it took the local one 3 days to get em delivered from vegas when I ordered them). They're on the tie rod ends on blazers (I think after 79 or 80).

The real fuuny thing is that two local GM dealers told me the jam nuts were discontinued, I had PNs and everything, and they both checked to make sure that it wasn't just the # that was discontinued.

Free for the asking with a tie rod or draglink purchase. Just gotta tell me you need 'em. If we know you're using ends that need jam nuts, we include 'em anyway, but we're not above screwing up sometimes.

Hey Scott, I got a tie rod and draglink from you COD last week. They came in and look GREAT. Thanks for the prompt service. There was only 2 jam nuts in the package. Is that all I need, one on the tierod and one on the draglink? Or are these the hard to find left hand thread ones and I should pick up the right hand ones locally. I have not had a chance to buy the tierod ends yet, so I have not gotten around to installing the rockrods yet..

Umm... chances are, those are the hard to find lefties, and the rights will come with the tie rod ends. Since I didn't personally ship it out, I'm kinda PFA'ing an answer here, but that's most likely.

Sounds good to me Scott. Just checking because I had not got the rod end yet. I'll just make sure that the rod ends come with jam nuts. Again, thanks for great service and a great product.
