I have a currie high pinion "nine" in the rear of my TJ with Explorer disks and I need one of the short rubber hoses that attatches to the calliper. Does anyone have a PN or specific application for this hose. Currie was no help other than they can sell me the hose. But if I can get it local it will be faster and maybe cheaper.

Anyone?

Thanks, Phil

i would think that you would need the hose off of an exploder with rear discs. 95 and up i beleive. i run the same setup but have never encountered this problem.

When I put an 8.8 in my roomates TJ we looked all over for these hoses, apparently they dont exist, or so all the major auto parts stores told us. After calling or visiting over dozen stores in PA and NJ I called up my local brake place. He had one sitting on the shelf.

Good luck if you are dealing with large places, they are retarted.

I got the part # from Ford for a '97 Exploder, passenger side calliper hose and took it to Napa. They were able to cross refference the # and get me the hose for half the cost.

You will want to use 2 pass side '97 Explorer hoses. Most parts places can get them fairly cheap like they said above. The driverside is a "T" type hose. It connects from the rear hardline to one caliper and then to the hardline across the axle.

I got both sides from Currie. The part number was 6013. All the part stores near me didn't know what I was talking about. They ran about $40 from currie for both sides. Includes the tabs to weld to the axle tube.

I looked everywhere for those things. The stealership wanted $40 each for them. And even Pep Boys wanted $30 each.

I just ended up getting mine from currie for $35 shipped....I think.

The currie kit comes with the hoses, new banjo bolts, new washers, etc.

well I looked in an old parks book we have at work and you'll never guess what is also an application for this hose. '78 Caprice ,Impalla, something else.... front brake hose.
Called the local parts store and they shipped me one for 15 bucks. Of course that is my shops cost. I dont recall what list was. Never would have guessed that but a guy I work with took one look at it and said it was a GM style hose.

Good to know...these will be easier to find, and probably always cheaper.
