I picked mine up for about the same price at a local shop. The 760 joint looks MUCH better than the old 297 joints. Not a permanent fix but a vast improvement.

I don't know how they are stronger unless they are using a different material. We put a 297 and 760 on a scale and the 297 was heavier. The 297 is also thicker in the middle and where the cups end towards the center. So, is the material different?:confused:

760 also has smaller holes in the posts which means more metal in the posts.
