I've heard that *ALL* aftermarket Land Cruiser axles come from the same place, a manufacturer in Italy, so you may want to think about shopping based on price and service.

I asume that you meant all gears not all
axels,
well eather way you are mistaken
I did some research after randys ring and pinion told me the same thing.
what is true is that the pig iron blanks
used to machine the gears is from a foundry
in eather italy or africa.
but ther are a bunch of shops that
machine the gears.
I recomend precishion gears.
also ther is a lot of shops that repackage
the gears and sell them under ther own name
randys ring and pinion sells a set that is
my opionion a infurior product.
I recomend 4wpwh
but you dont here of any one saying any thing
bad about river city dif.

The cheapest place I have found is Downey off-road. Their gear sets are right at about $150.00.
I don't know who makes them, but Downey is a very reputable company.

5.29 would be the ratio for LC axles. I've
had good luck w/Reider Racing www.reiderracing.com (http://www.reiderracing.com) .I bought some 4.88
Precision gears for $225 & install kit for
180. (800) 357-1330. If you're looking for
stock 4.10's, I would buy a good used 3rd
member w/the gears already set up. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

i just did a search on a search and got there website. they don't have any prices on it, you have to call them. you need to grind the rear ring gear pretty good [with the 5.29s]to get the pin to slide in. mine has held up so far but i have a stock 3f. but still turning 38s. later mike
