so here's alittle info on how its working out for me after a week or so. Most excellent sitting still:D ,before my axle would shift left and right up to 2" under the frame when turning while sitting still or going real slow, this also limited my turn radius because of tire/leaf spring contact. Now there in no pump struggle at all and i can one finger it stop to stop with now shifting of the axle or leaning of my shackles (i've yet to have it all bound up in 4low, and try) Street driving is different (not better) seems my assist i quicker that the factory, it wants to turn to much all the time, i have to take alittle back out of most turns. also it turns quicker in one dircection (i guessing due to the piston surface area being less on the rod side, in the "Ram") my wife wouldn't drive it........

hasn't had a serious trail test yet, hopefully after the family holidays are past us  and i'm still planning to re-install my stabilizer right next to the piman arm, for a better steering wheel feel :)

here's a link to a page in made http://www.geocities.com/yj3qtr_ton/steering.html sorry if it loads slow, some pictures didn't get re-sized....

any thoughts? see any problems.....?

I waited for your page to load but it never worked for me.... But from what I see in the pictures you did a pretty nice job. How much did the project cost you all together?

nice work! both on the ram steering and on the page. could you say more about the "feeling" on the street?
some of the things i think i would do differently, or at least ask why you did it the way you did..

i think i would have put the monting for the cylinder end on the cover. i still don't like welding to the cast steel.

i think i will install the ports the same place that AGR does, near the steering servo. my thingking is with one port being monted on the end cap all the fluid that is moveing the ramp "must" go through the box. also my thinking is that all the fluid that is going through the box "must" go through the ram, slowing everything down. right?

i do like the clamp that you used on the tie rod, instead of welding a eye to it.

do you have a part # for the ram? who made it, etc.? i have not been able to find anything close to that.

thanks for the post.

Hello,

I went to your site and it downloaded right away.
Only one problem...pretty major also.

It seems that when you added pics they
were superimposed right over the text
and now the text can't be seen.

You might take a re-look at the page and
move a few photos around so people can
actually read your writeup.

thanks

looking forward to returning to your site to
get the info on your great job.

Happy Holidays

You wont need to re-install your steering stabilizer. The ram acts as the ultimate steering stabilizer.

Hope the RAM setup works as good as it looks. ;)
