I bought a pair of axles from a 4cy YJ (4.10 gears) to replace my aging set (with 3.07's). I noticed that the place that should have the spot to put the vent hose has no fitting, in fact it seems to be just a hole in the housing. Anybody know what I should do about this (besides get a D44) problem? I have the 4x4 posilock which provides a spot for a vent plug and I was thinking of using that and plugging the factory hole. Suggestions?
Thanks.

I'd try to remove the fitting off of you current axle, and put it on the new one. Either that or put a new fitting in.

You could tap it and put in an air fitting eh?

I agree with sniperfire, the best thing to do would be to find a new fitting, tap the hole, and you're good to go!
