Putting together my 85 toy 22re. Going to go dual cases, might as well change the clutch while everything will be apart. Question is, is it worth it to put a heavy duty clutch in? Trying to save money where I can, But also dont want to have to replace it again after a few trips.

I just went to 4WPW in Santa Clara and got a Centerforce II. It has done well for me and I would recommend it. It was a bit pricey though.
Lots of us have the LUK brand in ours, usually at pep boys and a complete kit...TOB, PB, Align tool etc runs about 149 kissers

I have a after market one from Autozone and works O.K., but if I had to do it again I would just go to the Toyota stealership and buy a stock kit. You are going to run dual cases and are probably going to get gears and lockers. Correct? I really don't see the need for a heavy duty clutch. My .02 cents.

yeah, pulling my 60/14 from my old rig, got 4.88's detroit rear and arb front, going to get crawl ration to 200.1 or so. Clutch currently is not happy, but not dead eaither, figure while Ill have the case out might as well do it all. I think im leaning tword just the autozone clutch, the stealership is $$$ I think ill just save some money on the clutch, with the dual cases I shouldnt have to ride it.
