so i was headed to praire city and i was going to chance it with this rattle but i got all the way to the exit and let my foot off the gas, and i heard a snap crackle pop and then Bahm, and my rearend started locking up in spurts and bouncing the rear. got it pulled off the road and sent my girlfriend home for my jacks, ended up pulling the third. the gearoil sparkled with chunks of golden metal. turns out, the grinding i thought was my tcase or a blown UJ was actually from a while back when my rear driveshaft fell off at the tcase and pogoed and unstaked my flange nut on the third. so there was slop to the pinion and that made the grind. so it got loose enough and the pinion started clawing into the carrierand chunking deep gouges. a sad day when you get a tow home, and you didnt even get to wheel:( , so im going dirtbiking today to make up for it:D
