I'm with you on this one. I am going to custom fab a couple of ideas and see what works best. I am going to try something completely different than regular crossover steering or the idler arm setup that Calmini has. I only have drawings right now but after the holidays I will be posting more. That is if I find a winner.

 I just picked up my custom cross over stering bracket today.(Very beefie)I will be putting it on in the next week.I am using the old tie rods welded into a tube to finish the project off.If I think of it I will post some pics of the bracket tomorrow. Its on a spare axel of mine so it will give some idea of hoe it goes.It rises 5" above the kingpins to allow for my springs.I had to give up 60$ for the bracket and the tube for the cross rod.I don't think that was bad compared to what you spend for one already made.

goto spidertrax.com and go to the custom section, one of the pics is what looks to be like a IFS steering for the sammi (i think) and it utilizes both kingpin mounts. it uses thier "jonny joints" and it looks like it would kick some major a$$.

this may or may not be what you need. We are building a kit that is full high steer, which with some time anyone can build, but may not have the machines to build a few of the parts, which I won't endorse, but can be made other ways. You will need, 2 ft 3/4x2.5 flat bar, 10ft 1.250 .375 dom tube, 2 left hand, 1 right hand 3/4 heim joints, the jam nuts, and the taps for 18x3/4 thread in both left and right. Next you will need some 3/4 I.D .250 wall tube, about 1.5 ft, and you will also need a 3/4 drill bit and bolts, grade 5 about 8 inch's long, fine thread, and lock nuts. You will also need about 1ftx1ft .375 flat plate for assorted bracing.
What you do, attach the 3/4 plate to the kingpin cap somehow, grind to clear brake caliper slightly, drill the correct holes in the 3/4 plate, now one side will need one hole, the other 2, position these 3/4 holes so that they line up with the stock steering arm, one extra ahead on the passenger side, check for wheel clearance, you may need to bring in the arm slightly, or run spacers to clear the wheels. The tube is for the long bolt through the new arm to the stock arm, fun begins, its at an angle, drill the upper arms and cut the tube to match the lower angle.
I'll stop here, if you don't have the idea, you might not want to use this method.

thanks, but right now i'm realy thinking of the cross-over setup that keeps the tie rod in the stock place but rises the drag link up over the springs.......like the spidertrac ones......see pic.... don't look too hard to make, i got all the tools, and stuff for it except for the 1" thick flat stock but i'll get that from my uncles welding shop http://www.spidertrax.com/custom_5b.jpg

yeah, i was looking at breezes but i want to build mine, and breeze cross over looks way too hard to build, while spidertraxs is just a 1" thich bar, 1x1" square tubing to mount it to the 1-1.5" U-channeling and some 1/4" flat bar for underneath.........no bending or hard sh!t to do, just weld a few pieces together......
well thanks guys.... anyone else that has their own setup or made one from a design from breeze/sidertrax or any other place please PM me, or post it here.......thanks alot...
