My buddy works at a specialty torque converter place (builds high stalls ect.) they're going to beef up the tranny for my sami and they were also saying they could lower the stall in my torque converter. They think this will help with crawling and descending hills what do you guys think?

getting a custom lower stall converter will help you crawlability. think most people dont wanna spend the cash for a custom converter. most just run a stock on, thats what i do, id like a lower one though maybe somewere down the road ill put one in

I wouldn't of thought about doing it.but since my buddy works at a shop its going to be priced right. I think I'll go for it and if it doesn't work stock ones are easy to get.

the only thing that really benefits from a low stall torque converter are diesels. with out knowing what motor/tranny combo i would say leave it alone. mike

i would leave it alone, you have a motor that peak torque comes in the 3500 to 4500 range a low speed converter would just make it a dog off the line. might help in decents though mike
