: Waggy springs VS. YJ?

Are the springs out of a 88 wagoneer the same as the yj springs? and what are the measurments? how wide? long? back to centre bolt?......

They're not the same, but they're both good. Waggy and yj springs are essentially the same length, but waggys are slightly longer and have an offset locating pin. Apparently the 7 leaf waggy packs are THE ones to get. I'm going to be swapping out my yjs for waggys next week, I'll let you know how it goes.

i want the wags for just the rear, i have rear springs up front now....... do i use M/L shackles? use the front wags or rear wags for the rear of the sami?

Anytime u use a longer spring up front your gonna have to use either a M/L or hang the springs further back which defeats the purpose:smokin:

YJ's are 2.5" wide, not sure about the waggy's, though. ~Steve

so i'd have to get new u-bolt plates, relocation brackets, and the m/l shackles...........
i think i'll go with cj fronts........thanks guys..

just checked to be shure but waggies are also 2.5" wide.

Waggy springs are almost identicle to a wrangler spring, except on a samurai they give you about 1.5 inch's of lift, over a wrangler, and they are around 1 inch longer. The offset pin kicks ass for one reason, you can get away with less front overhang if you run them up front, so you don't have as huge of a frame extstension. Were basing a kit on these springs, as they are everywhere, and personally after having wranglers for about 4 years, there too soft.
