I've got this coffee table runner and the cheap candle that I had on it last Christmas gooed wax all over it. I forgot all about it. How do I get the wax out?

I've tried that, the bags seem to soak up more wax. Kept me from getting charged for carpet cleaning in college a couple times ;)
