It took me an hour to type this with one hand, wrapped in a blanket, shaking, with a pounding headache, so you better read the whole thing :flipoff2:

so Monday night I get home at 11:30 from Monday night football and take a shower and get ready for bed. I feel like I'm going to puke so I go to the bathroom. Within a minute I'm puking till theres nothing left to come out. this is great. Wash up and go to bed. my head starts pounding and I can't even see straight. I finally get to sleep only to have to puke again around 2:00... I get up at 05:30 to go to work. I can barely get dressed but as I'm moving around I feel a bit better, and feel I can actually drive the 1 mile to work. So I get to work and park. As I get out of the truck, no sooner do my feet hit the ground then do I puke again. I brought some OJ and bread from home, so I go in and make me some toast and sip some OJ... In about 20 minutes that was all over the bathroom (some actually got in the toilet ;)) and I'm about to go fetal in the hall. Roger tells me to go home and to see a doctor and wants to take me home cause he doesn't want me driving. I sip some more OJ and feel good enough to drive home, so I do. I crawl into bed and stayed there except to puke 2 more times throughout the day. Around 7 PM I can finally hold down Toast, but I'm not getting out of bed for anything.

Around 11:00 I hear this loud crash and bang and then my sister screaming in pain and my Dad going "oh my god, oh my god...blah blah" so I jump out of bed forgetting all about being sick until I get to my door and loose my equalibrium and hit my head on the doorjam as I almost fall. I get to my sisters room and see her on the floor screaming in pain with a finishing nail sticking all the way through her finger and her opposite arm bleeding a bit near the elbow. (Apparently they were hanging pictures and she was standing on the bed fell off with the can of nails in her hand) She is getting hysterical, I can barely talk or balance I'm hurting so much. I tell my dad to get the keys and I'll help get her in the car to go to the hospital. So I get them squared away in the car and as I'm trying to get back to the house I fall in the driveway. Don't worry I broke the fall with my kneecap. I tell my dad to get her to the hospital and be careful and I'm fine.

I crawl back into the house an get some ice and a bag and get back to bed and try to not pass out from the pain. I somehow get back to sleep. My dad calls me like an hour later and says that they are still waiting for a doctor and the nail is still in her finger and they gave he vicodion and sat them in a room and told them to wait for a doctor, there were only 2 on staff. I fall back asleep and my dad calls me about an hour after that and says they took the nail out and her finger is swelling and they might have to cut her class ring off, as I hear her screaming at them that it hurts and not to cut her ring. He tells me the X-rays show nothing, but the doctors are concerned that there's an internal fractur causing the pain thats not showing up. so they splint up her elbow, bandage her finger, give her a tetnis shot, vicodin, and antibiotics and a send them home and tell them to see an orthopedic specialist in the next couple days...

but wait - theres more ;)

in all the commotion and me being sick and whatever else, no one gave my Dog her insulin or heart medication. I hear her whining so I limp, stumble, hop, crawl down the hall to find her laying in the middle of the kitchen tryin to get up and can't. (this is when I called my dad to find out if they gave her her shot & meds). She had another seizure and was too weak to get up and there was no way I could pick her up to get her into her bed, so I gave her her meds and some Karo syrup to get her sugars back up and I got my blanket and wrapped us both up on the kitchen flloor and went to sleep right there.

My dad get home and walks in the door and freaks out as he almost trips on us thinking something else happened. I get him calmed down and explain the situation and I guess in the meantime my dog was able to get back up but couldn't cause the blanket was on her and when she tried to get up she was standing on it and then couldn't stand up.

so the nightly summary - my ister has a splint on her arm and 2 holes in her ring finger on her opposite hand. My dog is fine and back on track. I'm so sore I can hardly move from vomiting all day and general fatigue. I'm missing 2 days of work, and my sister 1. My dad has a few more grey hairs and needs a nap...

It's shaping up to be an unforgettable X-mas - I guess it can only get better from here right?

Didn't you guys see that Monster House where the carpenter shot a nail through his finger with the nailgun? He pulled in out with a pair of pliers, wrapped it up and kept working.

Last Christmas my wife was walking down the stairs at her moms house and slipped. She happened to be holding our 4 month old son at the time. She was hurt pretty good only because she fell trying to protect our son who luckily only got a little bruise on his leg. That was the first time I ever felt what a heart attack victim feels.

I was thinking food poisoning or something, but I happened to share a sandwich with someone that night, and she's fine. so maybe some sort of virus or 24hour flu? feeling better now, but still hurting
