Ok guys I got the winch for x-mas. But I changed my oil today and guess what? chocolate milk. Head gasket. So now I am not going to have the money for the Allpro front bumper. So I need some pics of your guys front receivers so I can fab something up...... Have to go multi mount, for a while anyway. Damn life sucks right now!!!!!

I put my receiver on TOP of the frame. I also reinforced the frame by adding some 1.5x1.5xFAWKING THICK tubing in front of the stock crossmember. ANd welded it up GOOD!!! Then welded a plate to the bottom of the receiver tube and then BOLTED that to the crossmember. AND welded the reciever tubing to the front of the bumper. It is strong. I have pulled sideways a few times and never bent it.

This way puts it higher, but still not high enough. I wish I could put the receiver back further, so that when the winch is mounted, it doesnt stick out as far. I would cut the bumper away to make room.

forgot to look at what kinda rig u got but im planning on a multi multi mount.

it will have open channel on the bottom of the winch plate that will go around square stock "on top" of my front bumper. reciever pins thru each of the two channels and square stock. I have a TJ. the channel will by on each side of the bottom of the winch mount plate. . In the center will be a female reciver tube welded to the winch plate.

For rear use.. slide some male (I will store some where when not in use ) into the female on the bottom of the winch plate after un pinning it then cary it to the back... whalla....

If it is just gonna be atemporary thing, I would just get some reciever size tubing and mout it however you can get it to the frame that looks sturdy. Maybe add some gusseting. Only bad thing is that you might have to cut through your grill depending on what kind of truck you have. I had to on my Tacoma. Im gonna solid mount to my Tacoma.

I think anything that looks sturdy will work. Use your imagination.

Good Luck
