Just pulled the pass side shaft from an '80 model Chevy D60 front. I was under the impression that all Chevys had the 1 1/2" inner shafts, but this one looked about the same as the outer. Grabbed the calipers and it measures 1.30"?:(

Yea i have those same ones in my 60, they neck down a whole bunch, if you relpace them with factory spicer ones they come as the standard phatties that are larger than 1.5 in the center. Give gear man a call.

Mine is out of an 81 K-30 the pass is a fatty but the driver side shaft necks way down from the seal surface to just inside the yoke. I will just hammer it till it breaks and maybe the molly ones will be out by then.

Thats what I thought about my 30 outers, hammer it till they break. Now I'm in the market for a new spindle, too. But I guess I woulndn't have this problem with an inner shaft. Anybody have an idea what the shafts cost? (I haven't pulled the driver's side appart yet to look at it). Geez, I should've just gone with top loaders (not like I have any clearance for them).
