my compressor is leaking air from the O ring? where the tank portion is attached to the body of the pump. I assume it's an O ring. A rubber piece was sticking out... and air blowing by it. The tank portion can spin left or right.

How do u take the tank off... yes... I know u got to remove all the air valves that attach to this part.

But It does not look like it will spinn off llike and oil filter after that cause of the block where the air valves are mounted would prevent this.

ONce off... is this O Ring.. or Gasket special order only?

THANX in Advance.

Oh.... compressor was new in..... 98.... maybe it was 99.... cant remember

Call ARB. Tell them you need a new o-ring.

Pay for said o-ring.

Wait for o-ring to be delivered.

Locate the bolt at the end of the tank.
Loosen it.

When it comes loose, take the bolt out.

The tank will be in one hand, the compressor will be in the other.

Remove old o-ring.
Install new o-ring.

Reinstall tank onto compressor.

Tighten bolt.

Reinstall compressor into vehicle.

And, BTW, you don't need to un-attach the solenoids/etc in order to do this.

ahhhh.... its dark out side now but .......what I remember from when I was fooling with it on the trail is that there was no bolt on the end of the tank lest not on the tank side... is it on side of the body of the pump?

any one got pic?
