there's scattered bits about shock placement in the archive, but I thought i'd pester everyone with a new thread.
for those of you running 12" or longer shocks with a suitably modified front-suspension: at what position (or %) do you have them mounted on level ground, and if not coilover, how tall are your springs? i.e. have you biased your suspension for more uptravel, downtravel, or tried to stay 50/50?
i'm aware of the common thought here on PBB to run at least 60% down, 40% up for rock crawling (going for more down-travel after that). As always, I'm curious to know what rover folks have been up to, whether or not you run the same placement front-to-rear, and if you kept relatively stock mount angles.
I'm still trying to decide what the best setup will be for my rig - look forward to your comments.
cheers,
isaac
