Yes a very easy job if you have decent skills, and equipment available. Getting the shift rails back in is a Rubiks Cube kind of thing, as there is only one way to get it to work. And no I can not tell ya how,,, my fingers just kind of know how to do it.

Your local libary should have a full service manual that will cover he TC, if it's a swap in.. Look at a manual for a 78/79 ford bronco/f150.
