Are you going to cut them down or run full width?
No problem! That front 60 alone can go for $1200-1500 around here and from what I have seen, even around the US. The rear is dirt cheap, $60 at the pull yards all day long. If you have the $$ go for it. This is the axle to have for a beefy TJ! Personally, I would loose the rear 60 and get a dana 70u, from an early 80's F350. 35 spline 1.5'ish inch axle shafts. The clearance on the 70u is very close to a regular 60 and has a smooth bottom. I got mine from a yard for $45.

Reason I ask, some have had clearance issues when using a 78-79 housing. You also have to cut both sides on a 78-79 to get it to work and only passenger side on the later versions..

leave them full width....problem solved. Any width issues can probably be helped with more backspacing in the wheels if that is a concern.

Unless he doesn't want his hubs sticking out, like I didn't.

I may be mistaken, but I thought the High-Boys had 8 lug HP44s up front.

Like Sheepdog said, If you plan on shortening it to 65" or lower, than you will have to cut both sides on a 79 housing, however, if you want to aim for 66.5", you can just cut the short side on your housing to fit newer ford short inner shaft.
If you are going full width, the 79 Ford 60 is right on, as far as DS alignment goes.
