I just bought an 92' rr, the right front cv exploded. There is a 97' disco in the
junk yard and Iwas wondering if the cvs' from it will work on the rr? Also what
other parts should I grab? Thanks, Otto:confused:

early disco's (like the first 4 or 5 years of production) used rangie axles. although typical LR they chopped and changed during manufacture.
best way is to look at your rangie hub. remember what it looks like (usually a domed cast shape, about the size of half an apple), and go look at the wrecked discovery. if they're the same hubs then they'll be the same CV's (the rangie ones like that have the outer shaft built into the center hub as opposed to sticking out of the CV like defender ones)

it has been gone over before. If you have ABS in your 92 RR it should fit.

......and if you need a CV from a Disco, I have one - passenger side inner axle, CV, outer stub axle. Email me at joe at 4x4Wire dot com if interested (it's boxed and ready to go).
