: Triangulated 4 link front

From measuring the stock GM d60 front I have the center line is almost exactly where the center section ends and the DS tube begins.

I want to run a triangulated 4 link front but am a bit unsure how to mount the upper links on the axle.

Welding to cast is the major concern.

I know it can be done but what is the best plan or setup for the upper links?

Anyone have any handy pics?

Bridge over the diff with each end welded to tube...

this is what I did for the rear but can be applied to the front; very simple & effective. if you have clearance issues you might just want to use a thinner piece of square stock over the pumpkin. :D

Here's a pic I found in a SEARCH for the same thing.

That's a great pic, I cannot see anything that is helpfull there. All I see are a bunch of shadows..

I cannot bridge over the front axle pumpkin. There flat out is not enough room between the pumpkin and the knuckle.

Edit,
before you start being an ass please think...

In the pic above, it's hard to see, but the guy bridged to what looks like the spring perch on the axle, then the spring hits the axle where the small tube is. Did you shorten the axle?

Edit: Actually, it looks like the bridge is bolted to the spring plates with ubolts and plates.

Looks like they are welding to the driver side spring mount in that pic. I am faced with the same problem while trying to design a triagulated 4 link for my TJ. I will probably either try welding to the cast spring mount or move it over a few inches towards the knuckle.

Do a search for pics of Redrum's jeep for another way to do it.

before YOU start being an ass, YOU need to think. search for it yourself, so much for someone trying to help you... if you cant get anything from that pic, maybe you shouldnt be diving into linked fronts:confused:

Back off..
You have no idea who I am or what I have already done.

As I said, I do not have enough room to bridge over the axle. What I should have said instead of refrencing the knuckle and the pumpkin is that I will have problems with room between the bridge and the front of my motor. I want it as low as possible.
