I used to buy some pink stuff from summit racing for tire softening but I wouldt use on tires that I was going to use on the street they wont last long at all , and the way it makes the tire soft isnt the same as a tire man. for a soft compound:D :D

I've used a few of them such as TireBite an TireTrack to get them stickey. I did if when I was doing tug-of-wars with my 96 tacoma. I was running 35" ground hogs and would spray them 3 or 4 times before the events. Made it hell to pull the truck back but it's not great for the tires. I had other tires I used on the road.

I know nothing.Have never done it my self, and have no knowlage of it ever being done during a rockcrawling event. That being said, I well say it does work. It will lower durometer readings (measure of softness). It is really nasty stuff.I am not sure I would use it for a trail truck, but like I said it will make a tire softer. It would more than likly be outlawed by ARCA if they could prove that it was a factor in tires other than MTR's winning but so far it has not been the case.By the way last time I saw a gallon of it there was a big lable that said that it CAUSED CANCER IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. I would guess that it woul d be hard to get there.Although I think they use it for baby formula where I am living right now. TECHGURU pm me your phone # I cannot find it!
