Do you think that this would do a cleaner job than a sawzall or a body saw? Anyone ever actually done this?

I dont care but my brother (Patooyee) has a show and shine fag rig and has wet sanded fag paint and Im sure that he is gonna mind:):flipoff2: :barf: :rainbow:

yep I have used a plasma on fenders before it does and alright job. It really depends on how picky you are it will cause some slight warpage but minimal at best. What the hell if its on a rockcrawler. A 3" cabide disk does the cleanest job or an air nibbler though not nearly as quick:smokin: :smokin:

It will work but will burn the paint.

I just cut my fenders last night and used a 4" grinder. It worked awesome! Turned out beautiful.

works fine, I've cut plenty of sheetmetal that way. Warpage is well.. to be honest hardly noticable. Theres some burn to the paint though. Personally I don't care much about that ;)

Get yourself a pair of good offset tin snips. They work the best for trimming, except where two pieces are welded together. With a good set of left and right offset snips, you can follow the exact line with little damage to surrounding paint and little warpage if any. Wiss ones like you can get a Home Depot work well, but the best out there are Max 2000 brand. I use mine daily doing AC work, and they're by far the best I've owned. They cost more, but they're worth it for commercial use. The Wiss ones will work great for you if you aren't using them all the time and don't try to cut through something thick like mentioned before. Offset snips raise the cut metal up and out of the way while you move them forward. Regular snips do not.
