Saw it Saturday.
OK movie, not great.

The FX in the war scene at the beginning was overdone.
I noted a few small inconsistencies.
The overall plot was OK.
A bit slow at times.

Saw wench boobies, fat woman boobies and Nicole Kidman's nipple and ass.

At least it wasn't a stereo-typical ending.

saw it christmas night... Hated it. Supposed to be a chick flick.... my girlfriend hated it more than me. Cheered when it was over.

I'm into old guns, black powder guns, and very familiar with the lifestyle and implements of the period.

This kept my mind going while the plot dragged along at times.

Saw it Christmas night as well, however I thought it to be a great movie. I too noticed some small inconsistencies with the film. The biggest being the non-American troops on both sides (Croatians or Yugoslavs), but they fit the character better. All in all, it was what it was, a story based on actual Civil War accounts with a love story thrown in. Kind of reminiscent of Enemy at the Gates.
