ok fuel pressure regulator vacume hose. cant find which hose goes to it, can i hook up any direct vacume line, because when the vacume is high it opens the regulator right, so all i need is a direct vacume line?

ok apparently the ECU sends a signal to the Fuel Pressure Regulator VSV and causes air to raise the fuel rail pressure. VSVs are fitted to all sorts of things in the engine. Commonly measuring 30 ohms resistance. so it cant be a random line, any pics? thanks!

I know this was old but it is along the same lines as what I need so I'm bringing it back. :flipoff2: In the picture from the hood, there is something marked Gas F, what is that?
I have an 86 4runner from California with I don't know what engine now. Seems like mess of 85 carb converted to EFI with some 87 and 86 parts. I need to get it all hooked up and running before I f'in kill someone.

Next the EGRVM that I have does not have two connection points on the side making for three total on the sides and one on the bottom, it only has two (a P and a Q no R). It matches the one I found in pictures from an 84 EFI setup. The Q is connected to the top on the EGR and the P is connected to something right next to the BVSV. This seems all F'ed up.

Next There is something I cannot find in any books. Looking from the front of the engine to the left of the BVSV is something that looks exactly like it. It sits above the cold start time switch. It has two nips like the BVSV and bottom is connected to the E on the throttle body and the top is connected to the EGRVM. What is this?

Than the VSV on the bottom is hooked to the R on the throttle body but not connected to anything on the side of it. How is this supposed to be hooked up? Doesn't this run to some idle adjuster (that looks like it was taken off mine)?

Lastly just behind the cold start injector and just above where the line comes out that connects to the pcv valve there is something with one nip that I can only find in pictures that is connected to the top nip of the BVSV. What is this also?
The bottom nip on the BVSV is plugged.

I need help! This was just supposed to be a simple put back together but now all of this. What the F is all of this for and how do I connect it all.

HELP PLEASE :(
