Im currently lookin at 99-00 chevs right now, just wondering if anyone here has had any problems with them? Someone told me tranny issues? Ill be gettin one with around 100k miles any info will help thanks

I just bought a 99 a few months ago and love it. It is a loaded except leather z71 with the 5.3. I have heard about the trans problems. The only problem that it seems to have is the fact that it likes to runs at low rpms in the city. I put the next size larger tires on itwhen I bought it so that has a little to do with it.

My dad has a 00 and he had the tranny replaced at 28k under warranty. I don't know whether it is a common problem or not, and he says it has the typical shitty chevy brake feel.

To each his own i guess, 2000 Z71, good brakes, tranny, engine, only other one i'd want is a new diesel.
