I am considereing using a late 80's camaro TPI fuel injection system on my buggy. The guy selling it took it off his Jeep and said that the constant bouncing around and vibration caused two MAF sensors to go bad. Is anyone using this set up for constant off road use and if so how has it worked?
GM used crap MAF sensors.
most swap to a speed density computer.
although there is a kit somewhere to allow Ford style MAF meters to be used on GMs

Hello. I installed TPI on my 1976 blazer and it was the 89-91 speed density type. It worked great for me, never had any problems with it. I even had a 383 stroker in it and still no problems. Since that install my blazer was stolen and now I have an "89" blazer that i am thinking of installing the TPI on as well. I bought all my wiring from a place called street&performance in Mena, Arkansas. These people are very helpful even if you haven't bought anything from them. give them a call for any questions you have and they will help you tremendously. There number is 501-394-5711.
