how loose is too lose////front wheel at the births ///is the wheel meant to pivit around the birth loosely or tight . i probly worded this all wrong //// any input would be great .. i bought chains .well all i could get was cables ///and this guy fitted them, then told me he never fitted chains before and this was in placer ville ,,,,,,,then he grabbed my front wheel and and started piviting it around and said this isint supessed to be this loose ,,, i honestly dont know how it should feel ,,,i think it suppossed to rotate on the birth like that,,,,,,, but what do i know im newbie but he didint even know how to fit chains .:( and he worked at a tire shop

i guess it is called wheel bearing preload, any way you need to tighten the nut on the axle that holds the hub on, you may want to replace the bearings and races too. the proper way to do it is by using a scale, but trying to wabble the tire and tightining it at the same time till it wont wobble any more, but still spin freely will work. also do yourself a favor and use a tool for the nut, make one or buy one dont use a screwdriver and hammer.:flipoff2:

Not necessarily it sounds like the trunion bearings are shot.
Need more info. What moves and what doesnt or does the wheel just spin too easy.

i agree if the tire is on the ground and you can move it that easy it would be the trunion bearings, which are a dealer only part

Check the Toyota FAQ's, the S/K and equivalent bearing P/N's are in it. You don't need to go to the dealer.

thanks for the info no ifs here ,, when the tires was being wobbled around . it was not sitting on the ground it was up in the air it dosent move when its on the ground no play when the weight of thre vehicle is on it .
