First of all, Your name grosses me out :flipoff2:
Second, to answer your question, in a word, yes. Take a look around. Lots of people curve their lowers.

curve only the lowers, a bend in the uppers will make them real weak and taco the upper links with axle wrap. unless yo have really strong tube, or high gear reduction, with a underpowered motor.

i play upright bass in rockabilly bands. if you are thinking anything else get some help:flipoff2::rainbow: :flipoff2:

and just cause you see other people with them doesn't make them right. look how many lunkheads have huge blocks on the trucks?

i've seen them, just wondering if i made them strong enough that it would work the same.

i bent my lowers(1.75 .250''wall) for clearnace they had gouges from rocks, etc and never folded on me, but a buddy with a similar setup just folded one of his. if you put a bend in them you better brace them(giving up some of the clearnace the bend created)

You can brace the from above the original bend and give up no clearance.. most people do it this way by either running another piece of tubing above the original or by plating the top area to form a triangular brace.
