I have a late 70's full floating d60 from a f250 under my rig, and i was wondering if anybody makes a Good disk brake kit for it. Also, i hear that your have to do some machine work to put in a 35 spline axle. Do you have to do this for a full floating axle also?

TSM makes a good rear disk kit

35 spline axles won't fit through the stock spindles, you can machine them out, but I don't know the tech on that, maybe someone else will

There is a pretty good writeup with pictures here and the have the NAPA parts list. http://mopar.rockcrawler.com/brakes.htm
I used the listed rotors but made my brackets a little different. I also use the large rear GM calipers with the emergency brake.

You can ream out the ends on the housing to a bit over 1.5. Or you can use Corp. 14 ends, or one from a Sterling, anything over 1.5.

my swap is gonna end up costing about 200 total....all i got is the calipers, rotors, pads, all that stuff from the front of a 3/4 ton Chevy. then i went to a chevy dealer and ordered weld on caliper brackets for $14 bucks a piece....the rest is history!
