Ok I'll telly a story where my Dad worked back in 86 they got a 86 GMC van 2500 and when they orderd it they told GM that they will be towing a traler. So in 89 My Dad bought it cuz where he works they bouht a new one (just cuz) so my dad drove it for about 6 years *after* he bought it (somthing like $1000.00 cnd)
he bought the 2dn company van 2500 cuz they bouth anuther new one (every 6 years a new van) and agen $1000.00.
So anyway Dad gave the 86 to my brother and he has had it for a few years now. So a few weeks ago I was working on it (EXH stuf) but I noticed it has *no* EGR and is missing alot of other smog crap (BTW it's a 350) the only smog crap is the air tubs that go into the EXH manafold. Oh and little stuf like the are intake stove. So whene I was under it I noticed the TH400 *sweet* So my bro whent to the deler ship to find a part number and he toled him the VIN and we found out he has a rear "M" engine that is in between heavy duty and super heavy duty and is not crippeld with somg crap. It also has the towing pakage (class 3 hitch and traler brak box) so for 86 it's a crazy built van.

Man can you say future tow rig


oh and dads it a FI 350 with the 700R4 and it goes fast
