Look on ebay, I think they have 2-3 companies listed that ship vehicles.

Last time I checked to ship a 4runner to PA it was $900 door to door. I got the info from a web site and also got a pamphlet at the DMV for a shipper....was 3 yrs. back so I dont know the name...they were out of LA if I remember.:)

If you wanna do it cheap, start beating on doors of trucking companies... you may be able to find an indelendant driver with flatbed room who would add your rig to the load for a little extra $$$

Worth a shot! :)

I did a web search, found a site (that I don't remember), plugged all my info in and got 10+ Emails back with quotes.

Jeep CJ from Colorado to Massachusetts ranged from $700-$2000.

These guys were the cheapest:

http://www.ableautotransport.com/

They are a broker and have hundreds of truckers at their disposal. They were very easy to work with and gave me the truckers CELL PHONE # to "track" the shipment.

I sent another Jeeper to them. $375 FL -> MA for a FSJ.

Make sure the truck runs or you are looking at big $$$. Try Able, or make a TON of inquiries.

bingo!!! I just loaded my wrecked Impala SS on a flatbed along with a Lincoln Blackwood and a backhoe. It's going from Omaha, NE to the other side of Ohio and it cost the guy $400. It was just a regular open flat semi trailer, the guy had two ramps on it.

I came across this forum through a google search, and noticed the topic of car transport, and thought I might offer a suggestion. www.uShip.com allows you to list any sort of shipment (boats, cars, furniture, animals, etc.) with all the specifics (route, dates, special care, etc) and then you receive bids from service providers to ship your listing. The system works really well and often allows you to obtain the lowest bidding at the most convenient time for you. Next time you're looking to transport a car it might be worthwhile to check it out. Registration is completely free and, like I said, you can list basically anything.

We used Dependable Auto Shippers to ship home a Scout from Fresno, CA to Manassas, VA. It's cheaper if you go terminal to terminal instead of door to door. I believe it was right around $900. Sounds like a lot of cash until you think of driving 3500 miles in a 1980 diesel Scout at 55 mph. I'd use them again if I had the need.

Yeah, DAS is good, and they work with uShip now; they bid on the site quite frequently. Definitely recommended through www.uShip.com.

well i'm a truck driver who has shipped many vehicles in my truck.i'll be the first to tell you you get what you pay for.if its less than 900 to go that distance there's a reason.could be terminal to terminal only.could be on a flat bed.it could be your not guaranteed any certain p/u or delivery dates.are you prepared to wait 3 weeks?read the fine print twice.ask plenty of ?s ipersonally won't touch a car for under a grand.if its a lifted 4wd it goes up.whether it runs or not adds to the cost.good luck

I got a bunch of quotes from shipvehicles.com and ended up getting an Expedition shipped from Dallas, TX to Mesa, AZ for $650 and it took about a week. FWIW, I also got a DAS quote using the Ebay links. It was around $1200, was a terminal to terminal shipment only and they said it'd be at least 3 weeks to get it.
