I'm sitting here....TV on, puter on, stereo off, clock radio off...and I hear talking with a lot of static in it. :confused: I turn down the TV and the puter sound. Nothing. I hear it again...turn down the TV and this time turn down the puter speakers. Nothing. I hear it again...turn down the TV and sure as $hit its coming out of the stereo speakers but the stereo isn't on!!! :eek: Aliens?? Dude with big antenna next to my house? Ghosts?? How can this happen??? :confused: :roxy:

someone with a really nasty dirty CB radio thats not tuned properly and is running too much power is one thing....anyone with a CB antenna on their house within a few blocks?

My buddies computer speakers use to do that.

Mine do that when my Nextel is fixing to ring.

Your speakers are probably old - or they are just not shielded very well... they can pick up Ham Radio signals and whatnot.

I heard a whole conversation on those computer speakers once.

Probably someone has a CB, and the speakers are picking it up, even though it's off. My speakers on my old puter would pick up CB's and it scared the crap out of the first time I heard some guy screaming at someone from my bedroom... :)

Sometimes, if the radio is old the switch will let some electrons pass through, sounding like just what you describe. Ive had it happen to me to.

Try blowing it off with an air hose or one of thoes can-o-air's.

It's easier to ignore him, then to try to read what he says. The few times I saw something he said, I was like, wow, who know that a steaming pile of cow manure had access to a computer, more or less actual typing skills.

But on a brighter note...my sister is gone for the week. She's staying with her drunken friend while her(the friend) boyfriend is out of town. I can't begin to explain to you how peaceful my house is. Well...except for me thinking the dog was dying and aliens talking to me thru the stereo...other than that things have been great! :D
